Awaken your Heart, Yoga and Mysticism

In this workshop you will be introduced to Heart Yoga.
Heart Yoga is the celebration of the Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism; the yoga of the illumined body with the mysticism of the awakened heart.
This practice will awaken your heart, body, mind, and soul to the undeniable truth that you are a channel of Divine consciousness.
The aim of this yoga is to prepare the vessel of the body and to create a spacious foundation to receive the direct transforming energies of the divine light consciousness.

Sequence:

  • An Introduction to mysticism and the Sacred Marriage
  • Preparing for Heart Yoga
  • The Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism
    Experience your sacred energy body through this guided yoga sequence using asana, breath, sound, and poetry to open your heart
  • The joy of Transcendence (the first of the 5 great joys)
    In this practice, you will ground your experience of the awakened heart and embody the blissful light—energy of your true nature, sat chit ananda (truth of pure beingness, pure consciousness and bliss)
  • closing and dedication

This practice is suitable to everyone regardless of prior yoga experience.

Through the creative process of SoulCollage®, you'll explore a fun, intuitive way to deepen your relationship with words and produce powerful art at the same time. Enjoy two forms of storytelling through a series of writing exercises that respond directly to your personalized images. No art experience necessary. Each participant will leave with 1-3 SoulCollage® creations. All supplies provided.

This weekend is an experiential and instructional weekend designed to restore the body, release deeply seated tensions and understand how we can support a peaceful mind and a healthy body in daily life. Accessible for all levels.

Friday Night Lecture: Relax into Life

6:30–9:00pm

We cannot always choose how life comes to us. But we can choose our response to life events in a way that creates greater balance and equilibrium. Understand what stress is, its effects on health and how yoga and yoga nidra synergistically expand your capacity to stay relaxed and at ease under more and more circumstances. Includes yoga nidra experience.

Saturday Morning: Revitalize the Body

9:30am–12:30pm

Our thoughts manifest in the way we hold ourselves. Discover the relationship between the posture of the body and the posture of the mind. Use yoga posture techniques to release mental and emotional tension held in the form of muscular patterning. Open the body, relieve tension and revitalize energy flow. Fun, invigorating and deeply relaxing at the same time.

Saturday Afternoon: Yoga Nidra

2:00–5:00pm

Re-wire unhelpful tendencies (karmic patterns) from the subtlest levels of being. Learn how yoga nidra takes you to subtle realms where karmic patterns that are solid and difficult to change in the waking state are more fluid and easy to shift in the meditative sleep state. Learn about the subtle sheaths of the aura, the koshas, and how yoga nidra is designed to take you to the subtlest sheath where karmic impressions are held.

Sunday Morning: Managing Energy

9:30am–12:30pm

What is the primary way we lose energy and how can we turn that around? How can we learn to be more aligned with what our energy is telling us and how it even guides us to act? How can we skillfully interact with others without losing ourselves?
