Judy Shanley, Reiki Master/Teacher
I began my studies and practice in Reiki in 1997, and have been teaching Reiki since 2003. Originally from Australia I have a deep love for nature. Through Reiki I have discovered the same sense of peace and belonging long ago found in my natural environment, and I often combine Reiki with nature in my work. My gentle teachings are guided by spirit and inspire self-discovery, self empowerment and a return to one's truth. Two years experience with Outward Bound Canada taught me “there is more in us than we know”, and this knowledge has influenced my teachings to inspire other's potential. In Reiki I have been trained in both North American (Usui) as well as Japanese (Usui Reiki Ryoho) lineages, and bring an understanding of both lineages to my work. In 2010 I received certification as a transformative coach with “Calling in The One”, a best-selling book by Katharine Woodward Thomas. My other studies include many spiritual practices and philosophies, yoga and recreation. Judy is a member of Westcoast Reiki Centre in Vancouver, and a student of the International House of Reiki in Sydney, Australia. Judy resides on the Sunshine Coast, BC. Email: judy@hridayawellness.com Rebecka SandersRebecka was motivated and encouraged first to do massage by her family, namely her father, at the young age of 9. He encouraged her to give massage to help others, and soon Rebecka at the age of 13 found a joy in helping her elder friends have some relief, beginning with giving foot massages, gradually her hands became stronger and soon she was being asked to massage the whole body, other people and getting requests for massage. For her own greater understanding of the body and functions she enrolled in Reflexology of feet and body with the Packard School of Nutrition. Continuing to practice and learn from a wide variety of very skilled practioners and healers. More recently studied with Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage, and completed a Yoga Teacher Training with Prana Yoga Teachers College. Her massages have been described as intuitive, relaxing, gentle, deep, soothing. Please call YBTS and leave a message or call Rebecka and she will call you back to speak in person about booking a massage. Melina Cassidy
