Prenatal Yoga with Marney

Prenatal yoga is a practice that reminds you to slow down and listen to your pregnant body as it shifts and changes. It is a practice that reminds you to trust in your body's innate birthing wisdom. Prenatal Yoga incorporates supportive safe asana (poses) that strengthen and balance your body along the journey of pregnancy and through birth.

There is an emphasis on mindfulness for increasing breath/body awareness. Learning to listen to your natural breathing rhythm, which promotes inner stillness, inner focus and assists in pain management.

In Prenatal Yoga class, discussion time is given for sharing of what is joyful and what is challenging about being pregnant along with other topics of interest to birthing women. Discussions are rich, genuine and informative. It's a great way to connect with other women who are on the same transformative journey, and create/build new friendships.

The 12-week session is approached in 3 parts:

  1. Alignment & reconnecting to your changing body
  2. Resources & tools (breath work, movement, focusing techniques) to use during pregnancy through delivery into post partum
  3. Combining alignment with resource tools to re-connect to your own fluid movement and rhythm along the journey of motherhood.

Couples are welcome at all times.
